Fullon Poshtel Hotel, Kaohsiung My brother from another mother, Lee, chose that hotel as it was near the train station, so I followed him, as we had to go to the University together & back! First impression, it’s a fairly new hotel, great size rooms, (take the suites) value for money, and while one may rest/sleep, the other may work or watch a show, in the separate room! The staff, mostly youngsters, speak decent enough English, and are truly super helpful, they go out of their way to help & assist! Rooms are well appointed for all basic needs, Wifi works perfect! Naturally like all hotels in Taiwan these days, no smoking! However, beside basic water boiler, a mini bar fridge with 2 Soda cans, a few teabags, nothing else in the room, no spoons, no sugar, no coffee , no nothing! So either you get it from the top floor (16th) where the breakfast room is located, or walk a few minutes (just around a corner) where the ever present FamilyMart is located & stock up on basic needs! The hotel serves breakfast, included, but tough luck if you expect western offerings! It’s the usual things that Taiwanese, Chinese or Japanese Fancy! So either adapt, or good luck hunting and finding something that your palate fancies! For all that drive by car, one if not the best underground car parks in the whole of Taiwan! Spacious & clean, for us it was included in the price of our stay, which was more than reasonable ! Highly recommended no fuss property, primarily catering for Asians, with the occasion westerner! #amazinkaohsiung #taiwan #kaohsiun #fullonposhtel #fullonposhtellkaohsiung #thetaiwanjourney #touristystuff

The room was clean, large, and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay excellent and let us borrow cutlery and bowls when our restaurant (Food Panda) order came in bags. They also communicated everything very clearly upon our check-in, and we're friendly and helpful. The bed was super-comfortable. The soundproofing was good, and it was great to have a large sink and counter area. Coffee and snacks during "happy hour" were a nice treat, and the 16th floor seating area had a nice view of the city, with comfy chairs. There were no wasteful little soaps or shampoo bottles, and the amenities were top quality, and in lovely glass bottles. There were two large water receptacles (a pitcher and a kettle) with fresh filtered water available on every floor, so no icky plastic bottles or rationing to worry about. It was wonderful to have a seating area with a sofa, table and chair in the room. There were charging areas for devices everywhere, and lots of shops and restaurants (and the subway/KMRT) within easy walking distance, with a direct line to Weiwuying!

The room size is impressive, spacious, clean. Particularly, the bed and shower is comfy. The hotel offer a free coffee n tea with snack in the restaurant for all day long. The receptionist n the room cleaning staff are so nice and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet street, but only 3 mins walk from City Council (former site) station exit 4, and less than 30 mins from airport. Only 1 station to famous Formosa station and to the Pier 2 Art Center. Also, about 15 mins walk to the famous night market, and 5 mins walk to a popular breakfast restaurant as well. You may also goto a small cosy bar next to the City Council station exit 3.

Had a huge room to myself. Plenty of couches, kitchen area with kettle and sink, nice bathroom. Hotel facilities overall could be improved eg all other hotels I visited in Taiwan had complementary laundry machines but this one cost 50NTD each for the washing machine and dryer. Rooms were also not too soundproof especially near the door, and lifts were often busy so you had to wait a few minutes as there are only 2 lifts to cover 16 floors. Location was pretty good, easy to bike around or take the subway from Cianjin which is around the corner.

The room was very clean. We were very happy with service we received as the staff was very accommodating. Since they just opened mid-2023, they seemed like they were still getting into order, but overall it was a great stay! In particular, I had injured my leg and they were very helpful during our stay since we had to stay in the hotel more than expected. They gave us a chair for me to use in the shower, provided plenty of ice and ice packs for my knee, and offered first aid. They made our stay very comfortable.
